Hassan Ariff Stresses Importance of Skilled Human Resources for Discrimination-Free Workplace.

Dhaka: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and Land Adviser A F Hassan Ariff emphasized the need for developing skilled human resources in technical education to foster a discrimination-free workplace. He addressed this imperative as the chief guest during a discussion organized by the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) at its Kakrail Bhaban, marking the 54th founding anniversary and Public Engineering Day-2024.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hassan Ariff highlighted that a significant portion of individuals entering the global job market lack necessary skills. However, he noted that there are substantial opportunities for those who are equipped with technical education and training. He stated that this is not merely an issue of personal gain or loss but is crucial for Bangladesh’s development on a national scale.

The adviser expressed hope that relevant ministries would undertake necessary actions to optimize the process of sending skilled human resources abroad
. The event, chaired by IDEB Interim Central Committee Convener Engineer Md. Kabir Hossain, also featured a welcome address by Member Secretary Engineer Kazi Sakhawat Hossain.

During the occasion, nine families of diploma engineers and engineering students who were martyred in the anti-discrimination student movement were honored with a cheque of Taka one lakh and a memento. Additionally, financial support was announced for those who were seriously injured in the movement.

The event concluded with Hassan Ariff inaugurating a colorful rally involving the release of pigeons and balloons at the IDEB premises, which then paraded through various streets.
