DHAKA: Hassan Ariff, the late adviser of the interim government and former Attorney General, was honored in a memorial meeting where Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman emphasized that Ariff’s legacy will endure in the memories of the Bangladeshi people due to his significant contributions and services. The meeting was organized by the Officers and Employees Association of the Attorney General’s Office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the memorial gathering took place on the rooftop of the Attorney General’s Office and was attended by a wide array of legal professionals, including additional attorney generals, deputy and assistant attorney generals, solicitors, deputy solicitors, as well as officials and employees from the office. Hassan Ariff’s son, Moyaz Ariff, was also in attendance to honor his father’s memory.
During the tribute, Attorney General Asaduzzaman expressed the profound impact of Hassan Ariff’s passing, describing it as a grave shock and a personal loss of someone dear and close to him. The event concluded with a prayer session, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul.
Hassan Ariff, who passed away on December 20th following a severe cardiac arrest, left an indelible mark on the legal landscape of Bangladesh. His career and dedication to public service are remembered and celebrated by his colleagues and the broader community.
