Dhaka: President of Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) Nurul Haque Nur today alleged that the fallen dictator Sheikh Hasina was hatching conspiracies against the interim government by staying abroad. He claimed that the autocratic government of Sheikh Hasina was unseated, and she fled to India on August 5 following the anti-discrimination student-led mass uprising. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Nur stated, "Awami League is now a dead organization…it will never come back…none will be able to make it alive, so she won't be successful to do any harm to the interim government through hatching conspiracy." Nur, the former Vice-President of Dhaka University Central Student's Union (DUCSU), was addressing a public gathering organized by Gono Odhikar Parishad at Muktarpara ground as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Joint General Secretary of the party, Hasan AL-Mamun, and included speeches from other political figures such as the General Secretary Rashed Khan, General Secretary of Jubo Odhikar Parisha d Nadim Hasan, President of Sramik Odikar Parishad Abdur Rahman, and General Secretary of Chatra Odikar Parishad Nazmul Hasan. Nurul Haque Nur urged people, especially students and youths involved in the anti-discrimination student-led mass uprising, to forge greater unity and solidarity among them. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of the movement to foil the alleged evil designs of the fallen dictator Hasina and her cohorts.
