Dhaka: The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs today issued a warning to the public, urging vigilance against fraudulent activities related to the posting and transfer of district registrars and sub-registrars under the Directorate of Registration.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release signed by the ministry spokesperson, Dr. Md Rezaul Karim, clarified that the posting and transfer of district registrars and sub-registrars is a routine function of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. The release emphasized that during the transfer process, various factors are considered, including the applications of the district registrars and sub-registrars, their length of service, the posting of their spouses, and any medical or other humanitarian needs. Importantly, the ministry highlighted that there is no room for financial transactions within this process.
The ministry further advised the public to stay alert to any enticements, offers, or fraudulent activities related to these postings and transfers. It also encouraged individuals to report such incidents to the concerned police station to prevent any unlawful activities.
