Dhaka:The government has officially rebranded the Bangla name of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs to 'Nari O Shishu Bishoyok Montronaloy,' while maintaining its English title unchanged.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a gazette notification was issued by the ministry today, announcing that the new Bangla name will be used in all official activities, documents, and notifications with immediate effect.
The English name 'Ministry of Women and Children Affairs' will remain as it is. The decision to rename the ministry's Bangla title was approved during a Cabinet meeting on October 18, which was chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
