Govt Prioritizes Three-Dimensional Capability for Bangladesh Police: Home Minister

Dhaka: Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has stated that the government is prioritizing the development of a three-dimensional capability for Bangladesh Police to maintain law and order, ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Minister emphasized the ongoing commitment to modern and technology-based training for police personnel, which includes integrating helicopters into the police force’s organizational structure. Additionally, efforts are being made to upgrade training institutions and acquire modern vehicles and equipment. Salahuddin Ahmed addressed these initiatives while responding to a starred question from Noakhali-5 MP Mohammed Fakrul Islam in Parliament, highlighting the democratic government’s proactive measures to uphold law and order and safeguard the public.



The Home Minister outlined specific measures being implemented by Bangladesh Police to ensure public safety. These include conducting all activities while respecting human rights, leveraging scientific investigation processes and technology, and maintaining the operations of the ‘National Emergency Service 999’ to facilitate access to police, ambulance, and fire services.
