Chandpur: Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abu Abdullah M Saleh (Saleh Shibly) today emphasized the government's commitment to addressing the basic needs of the populace, urging citizens to exercise patience. "The government is working to meet the basic needs of the people. For this, everyone needs to be a little patient," he remarked during a citizens' gathering at Gobindapur High School in Faridganj upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saleh, who also serves as the Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to establish a prosperous Bangladesh that includes individuals from all religious, community, and ideological backgrounds. He announced the introduction of a Family Card initiative, which will encompass every family, including his own.
Saleh outlined the government's tailored plans for various professional and demographic groups, such as students, teachers, athletes, businesspeople, farmers, and doctors. He reaffirmed the commitment made on December 25, 2025, by the BNP chairman during his return, asserting that the chairman's pledge of "I have a plan" would indeed come to fruition.
Addressing the party's internal dynamics, Saleh acknowledged existing differences of opinion within the party ranks, particularly in Faridganj, but assured that these would be resolved in due course. He urged party members to remain patient and not allow disagreements to overshadow the party's and the nation's interests.
Saleh commended party leaders and activists for their resilience and participation in movements and struggles during challenging times. He emphasized the unity within the party, stating, "No matter what anyone says throughout the day, at the end of the day, everyone is united for the interests of the party. Good times are coming for the party."
