Dhaka: The interim government has announced a judicial investigation into the recent attack on Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur and leaders involved in the anti-discrimination student movement. This decision was made during a significant meeting chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his residence, Jamuna.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, informed reporters about the meeting’s outcome this afternoon. Present at the meeting were several advisers, including the National Security Adviser and Special Assistant on Home Affairs Khuda Baksh Chowdhury.
Shafiqul Alam stated that the inquiry will be led by a High Court judge to maintain impartiality and transparency. He mentioned that further details regarding the terms of reference and the other members of the investigative team will be disclosed at a later date.
