Govt Efforts to Boost Economy Highlighted by State Minister

Dhaka: State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam emphasized the government's commitment to reviving the fragile economy during a public event today. "Led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government is working to take the country forward by tackling various economic challenges and challenges related to public life. The government is working with utmost effort to fulfill people's expectations and to further accelerate the country's development," stated the minister.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister made these remarks while handing over two buses to Shibganj Grammar School and College and Betgari Mir Shahe Alam Girls' High School in Bogura. He stressed the importance of ensuring safe and uninterrupted transportation for students and pledged to take necessary steps to create a more student-friendly educational environment.

Following the bus handover ceremony, Mir Shahe Alam met with Mahfuz, a student from Kichak Union of Shibganj Upazila, who achieved a GPA-5 in the 2026 SSC examination despite losing a leg in an accident during his fifth grade. The minister encouraged Mahfuz, praised his determination, and assured him of his support, including arranging for an artificial leg and covering his educational expenses.
