Dhaka: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has arrested three people and seized gold ornaments, officials said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individuals were identified as Md Nasir Molla, 40, Sohag Sheikh, 24, and Md Hasan Mia, 23. The APBn issued a press release stating that the arrests were made last night near the airport's roundabout area.
Police became suspicious of the men, conducted a search, and discovered 861.8 grams of gold ornaments valued at over Tk 1.36 crore. A case has been filed against the arrested individuals at the airport police station.
