Govt committed to promote women’s rights: Ismat Ara

JESSORE, Jan 07, 2017 (BSS)- State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique said here today that the present government is committed to promote women's rights in the country.

The women, who make up half of the country's population, would be properly educated so that they can compete in every tier of different areas, said Ismat Ara Sadique while speaking as the chief guest at a function on the occasion of Madhusudan Taraprasanna Collegiate School.

Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP presided over the function while writer Syeda Anwara Haque, Deputy Commissioner of Jessore Dr Humayun Kabir, Police Super Anisur Rahman, district Awami League president Shahidul Islam Milon and former principal of the school Nomita Rani spoke, among others.
