Govt Calls for Nationwide Prayers for Khaleda Zia’s Recovery

Dhaka: The interim government has announced a call for special prayers across the nation, aiming for the speedy recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, the three-time former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson. This initiative seeks the collective hope and support of the nation for Khaleda Zia, who is also the wife of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser's Press Wing made the announcement this morning, urging all mosques in the country to conduct special dua after Jummah prayers tomorrow. This call extends beyond the mosques, as temples, churches, pagodas, and other places of worship have been requested to organize prayers in line with their respective religious traditions.

The government has emphasized the importance of collective prayers, urging people from all segments of society to participate in this national appeal from their respective locations. The initiative reflects a unified effort to support Begum Khaleda Zia's early recovery.
