Dhaka: The government has approved a proposal to procure refined fuel oil from July to December to meet the growing demands of the country. The approvals were granted during the 22nd meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), which was held at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat, chaired by Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division will procure refined fuel oil for the period of July to December 2025 through an international quotation process, with an estimated cost of around Tk 9,139.24 crore. The procurement process is divided into several packages, with PetroChina International (Singapore) supplying package 'A'. Vital Asia Pte Ltd, Singapore is responsible for packages 'B' and 'C', while Sinochem International Oil (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Singapore will supply package 'D'.
