Dhaka: The government today appointed Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain as the executive chairman of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), an official statement said. This appointment marks a significant move in the leadership of the agency responsible for investment promotion.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the public administration ministry announced that Moazzem, who is currently serving in the Bangladesh Army, will take on the role of BEPZA chief on deputation. BEPZA operates under the Office of the Chief Adviser, focusing on facilitating investment within the country’s export processing zones.
