Dhaka: The government appointed 120 executive magistrates for overseeing security during the preliminary exams of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) scheduled for September 19. This examination aims to select candidates for recruitment as fellow magistrates and officers for other cadres, as mentioned in an official statement.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the public administration ministry's announcement detailed that the 47th BCS preliminary exams would be conducted simultaneously across 113 centers in the capital. During the exams, candidates will be required to answer multiple choice questions (MCQs).
The statement further explained that one executive magistrate would be assigned to each center to ensure order, while seven magistrates will be stationed at the Public Service Commission's (PSC) control room, equipped with magistracy power under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
The BCS preliminary examination will commence at 10 am and conclude at 12 noon on September 19.
