Dhaka: The Home Ministry today called upon foreign nationals residing illegally in Bangladesh to secure necessary legal documentation by January 31. This appeal was made in an official notice, emphasizing the importance of compliance to avoid legal repercussions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notice, signed by Md Khoda Box Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Home Affairs, specified that foreign nationals without valid documents must regularize their status by the specified deadline. Failure to comply will result in legal action under the Foreigners Act-1946. The announcement highlights the government's commitment to ensuring legal residency and work status for all foreign nationals in the country.
