Government Stays Vigilant Against HSC Exam Paper Leaks: Measures in Place

Dhaka: Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar announced today that the interim government is on high alert to prevent any leaks of the HSC question papers, ensuring that the exams proceed fairly.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Abrar emphasized in an interview that the government has issued strict directives to local administrations to prevent any recurrence of past incidents of question paper leaks. Measures have been put in place to secure all examination halls, and he reassured that immediate legal actions would be taken if any information or allegations concerning leaks or unfair practices arise during the exams. Furthermore, both teachers and local administrations will actively monitor the exam process.



Dr. Abrar highlighted that the use of electronic devices without administrative approval will be banned within 200 yards of the exam centers, with immediate action against violators. The HSC and equivalent exams are set to commence tomorrow, with the Bangla 1st paper examination starting at 10 am across the country under 11 education boards.



This year, the total number of examinees stands at 12,51,111, with 618,015 male and 633,096 female candidates participating. Of these, 10,55,398 candidates are under the General Education Board, 86,102 under the Madrasa Education Board (Alim), and 109,611 under the Technical Education Board. The exams will be conducted across 2,797 centers nationwide, and 293 candidates will take part in the examination at 8 centers abroad. The total number of educational institutions involved is 9,314.



The Ministry of Education has also announced that all coaching centers will remain closed across the country until August 15, as part of the efforts to ensure a fair examination process.
