Dhaka: The government has officially relieved Sheikh Bashir Uddin from his position as Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines following his decision to resign. This change in leadership was confirmed through an official notification by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a gazette notification from the Biman-1 branch of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism announced that Sheikh Bashir Uddin has been released from his responsibilities as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. This development follows his resignation submitted earlier on Monday, February 16.
Sheikh Bashir Uddin was initially appointed as Chairman of the state-owned airline through a government notification on August 26 of the previous year. His tenure saw him at the helm of the national flag carrier, overseeing its operations and strategic decisions during his service.
