Dhaka: The government has decided to keep fuel prices unchanged for the month of August, with diesel priced at Taka 102 per litre, kerosene at Taka 114 per litre, petrol at Taka 118 per litre, and octane at Taka 122 per litre. This decision is in line with the automatic fuel pricing formula.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the decision to maintain the fuel prices at the same levels as July aims to ensure a reasonable supply of petroleum products. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MPEMR) issued an order confirming this decision.
The EMRD also released a gazette detailing the petroleum prices for August. The automatic fuel pricing formula, which guides these decisions, was initially introduced by the government on March 07, 2024.
