Government Introduces Body-Worn Cameras for Upcoming Elections

Dhaka: The government today unveiled a teaser highlighting the implementation of body-worn cameras for the upcoming national polls and referendum scheduled for February 12. The initiative aims to ensure prompt response to any incidents that may arise during the election process.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing released a 1:59-minute teaser this evening, detailing the deployment of body-worn cameras for law enforcement personnel. In addition, CCTV cameras will be installed at polling centers to enhance monitoring capabilities.



The teaser further outlined that all activities will be continuously monitored from a central control room, allowing for immediate action in response to any incidents. This measure is part of the government’s effort to maintain transparency and order during the elections.
