Dhaka: A review meeting on the implementation progress of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division was held today at the Ministry of Education. Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon attended the meeting as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of integrity and efficiency in the execution of development projects. He also urged officials to avoid embarking on unnecessary projects.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting focused on modernizing existing technical education institutions and establishing new technical training institutes where needed. Discussions highlighted the importance of building model polytechnic institutes that align with modern global demands. Additionally, participants considered the feasibility of reducing the duration of the four-year diploma courses under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board to three years, weighing the potential advantages and disadvantages of such a change.
