Government Approves Procurement of 50,000 Metric Tons of Wheat

Dhaka: The government has approved a proposal to procure 50,000 metric tons of wheat to address the growing demand within the country. This decision was made during the 24th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), chaired by Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed at the Bangladesh Secretariat.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the procurement will be executed from M/S Cereal Crops Trading LLC, UAE. The acquisition will be conducted through an international open tender method, with an estimated cost of around Taka 168.82 crore. The price per metric ton of wheat has been set at $275, as proposed by the Ministry of Food.
