Lalmonirhat:Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu emphasized the government's commitment to creating a modern, humane, and harmonious Bangladesh that respects and includes people from all communities, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister highlighted efforts to allow people of all faiths to freely and peacefully celebrate their religious festivals. He made these remarks during a visit to the Shri Shri Radhagobinda Durga Temple in the Stadiumpara area of Lalmonirhat Municipality.
Dulu pointed out that Bangladesh has a rich tradition of communal harmony where religious festivals are celebrated with mutual respect and goodwill. He noted that this year's Durga Puja marked the first such event since the new government's formation. The Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, had instructed authorities to enhance the festivities compared to previous years.
