Natore: Goats have been distributed for the socio-economic and quality of life improvement of small ethnic groups in Lalpur upazila of the district. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mehedi Hasan handed over the assistance among them at a function held on the premises of the Upazila Livestock Office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative aims to ensure no community in the country remains backward. The government has implemented measures to enhance the quality of life for all marginalized communities. Md. Mehedi Hasan emphasized the government’s commitment to sustainable development through balanced progress.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Pritam Kumar addressed the gathering, with Upazila Livestock Officer Md. Abdullah chairing the function. The distribution occurred under the Integrated Livestock Development Project, targeting the socio-economic advancement of small ethnic groups. Each family received two goats, benefiting a total of 111 families.
