Fresh Guidelines Issued for Updating Data of Stipend Recipients in Technical Education

Dhaka: The Directorate of Technical Education: has published guidelines for the data entry of new technical students and the updating of information for existing students under the allocation for the fiscal year 2025-26 for stipend activities. The guidelines have been issued in a notification published by the stipend cell of the directorate today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification has instructed that new data entry and updating of information for existing students should be carried out for 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters of the four-year diploma programme. The deadline for preparing the list of stipend-eligible students and sending the resolution to the regional offices has been set from May 5 to May 12. Furthermore, the task of entering data for new students and updating information for existing students before sending it to the regional offices will run from May 13 to May 25.



Subsequently, the regional offices have been instructed to send the final data to the directorate between June 1 and June 4. The guidelines said that to receive the stipend, students must remain regularly enrolled in their studies and fulfill several conditions. They must pass all previous subjects with an average of at least 40% marks. The minimum class attendance rate must be 70%, and the guardian’s monthly income must not exceed Taka 30,000.



The directorate has issued a special warning against fraud, stating that some fraudulent circles are recently attempting to collect PINs, OTPs, or passwords by posing as directorate officials. The directorate does not collect such information through any means.
