Dinjapur: A three-day free eye cataract surgery campaign was held at Gausul Azam BNSB Eye Hospital here. The campaign was organized with the assistance of the Dinajpur Palli Karma-Sohayok Foundation and Pallisree, a non-government development organization.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign started on February 28 this year and provided primary eye treatment and medicine to a total of 101 people. Additionally, 25 cataract surgeries were performed free of charge. Executive Director of Pollisree, Shamim Ara Begum, shared that the initiative aimed to assist those who are unable to afford eye care services.
The successful completion of the campaign highlights the collaborative efforts of the involved organizations to address the eye care needs of the community in Dinjapur.
