Dhaka: After a four-year hiatus, the Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum (BFSF) has announced the revival of the BFSF Under-14 Academy Cup, scheduled for December. This event is considered one of the premier football tournaments in Bangladesh.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BFSF has commenced promotional activities and the registration process for teams, primarily targeting football academies throughout the country. The Academy Cup series began with its inaugural event in 2019, followed by tournaments in 2020 and 2021. Despite disruptions in recent years, the BFSF is now preparing to revive the competition.

The fourth edition of the tournament will proceed with the support of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and under the patronage of Bashundhara Kings. The competition is specifically for football academy players under 14 years old, with 12 academies vying for the championship title.

In previous years, a total of 36 academies participated across the three editions of the Academy Cup, showcasing young talents in Bangladesh’s burgeoning football scene.
