Four people, including a woman, were killed in separate road accidents in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Golam Faruk, 38, hailed from Kazipara in Jashore town, Sohel Rana, 35, resident of Jashore town, Sushila Rai, 75, an inhabitant of Keshabpur Upazila and Sagor Hossain, 24, hailed from Monirampur Upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Navaron Highway Thana Abdullah Al Mamun said Golam Faruk and Sohel Rana died as the motorcycle carrying them hit a roadside tree at around 11 pm last night on Jashore-Benapole Road.
In another accident, Sushila Rai died when a pickup van hit her this morning on Jashore-Chuknagar Road. Besides, one Sagor Hossain died as he fell from a motorcycle around 7:30 am in Jhikorgacha Upazila Mor.
Police said the bodies were handed over to the respective family members.
