Four Family Members Among Five Bangladeshi Nationals Killed in Saudi Arabia Road Crash

Dhaka: Five Bangladeshi nationals, including four members of a single family, have tragically lost their lives in a road crash in Saudi Arabia. The victims have been identified as Mizanur Rahman, aged 42, his wife Meher Afroz Sumi, 30, their daughters Mohna, 13, and Subah, from Ramganj upazila, alongside Hossain Mohammad Jilani, also known as Babo, 30, from the Balakot area in the same upazila.



According to United News of Bangladesh, another daughter of Mizanur, Faiza Akter, 11, is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia, as confirmed by their family. The incident occurred around 3 am local time in the Abha area of Saudi Arabia, which corresponds to 11 pm in Bangladesh, as stated by Firoz Uddin Chowdhury, the Officer-in-Charge of Ramganj Police Station.



Baharul Alam, the elder brother of Mizanur, revealed that Mizanur had been involved in the hotel business in Saudi Arabia for an extended period. On February 3, Mizanur, his wife, and their three daughters traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. The unfortunate accident took place as they were returning home after completing the religious rites.
