Four Arrested with Nearly 10 kg of Ganja in Rangpur

Rangpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four alleged drug dealers with 9.70 kg of ganja from the city’s New Jummapara Purbatari area under Kotwali Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13’s Sadar Company conducted a search on a motorcycle at 5:10 am on Sunday. During the search, the team arrested four individuals, recovered ganja from their possession, and seized the motorcycle, as stated in a press release issued today.



The detainees have been identified as Md A Matin, 38, from the Rupsidanga area under Katakhali Metropolitan Police Station of Rajshahi metropolis; Md Rubel Mia, 32; Md Sabuj Mia, 36; and Md Elahi Barsha, 20, from the New Jummapara area of Rangpur metropolis.



The elite force has handed over the arrested individuals along with the seized ganja and motorcycle to Kotwali Police Station, the release added.
