Rangpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 conducted a successful operation, seizing a significant amount of smuggled drugs and apprehending four suspected drug dealers in Ekilimpur village under the jurisdiction of Pirganj police station on Monday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the confiscated illegal substances comprised four kilograms of ganja, 287 Yaba tablets, and 11 grams of heroin. The operation was executed by a specialized team from RAB-13’s Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-3, based in the Gaibandha Camp, who acted on a tip-off to raid the location at 11:55 pm on Monday.
The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Md. Hanif, aged 42, Md Ariful, aged 45, and Md Abdul Malek, aged 37, all residents of Ekilimpur village, along with Md Gazi Sheikh, aged 50, from Chhotokua village, also within the Pirganj police station area of Rangpur district. Following the arrest, a case was filed, and the detainees, along with the seized drugs, were handed over to the Pirganj police station for further legal procedures.
