Former BPDB member MAK Azad dies

Former member (generation) of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and ex-president of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh MAK Azad died on Sunday at his Gulshan residence after suffering health problems from old age.

 

Azad, 78, is survived by his wife Professor Hosne Ara Azad, son, and daughter.

 

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the IEB headquarters in Ramna at 11am on Tuesday and the second one at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zuhr prayer on the same day.

 

BPDB Chairman Md Mahbubur Rahman expressed shock and deep grief at the death of Azad.

 

He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended his heartfelt sympathy to the ex-BPDB member and his family.
