Boda: State Minister for Water Resources Forhad Hossain Azad today hosted a luncheon event in honour of families of July 2024 mass uprising martyrs and July fighters. The event was held at his residence in the Pachpir Menagram area of Boda Upazila in the district today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, local administrative officers, leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies, members of cultural organizations also joined the event. Azad emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a Bangladesh where people of all political views, religions, and backgrounds can live together with equal civic rights.
Azad stated that no form of discrimination would be tolerated in the country and urged the people to stay alert against those conspiring to distort the history of Bangladesh, particularly those excluding the spirit of the 1971 Great Liberation War.
He also criticized Jamaat, warning that if they attempt to mislead the people and create division among citizens, all sections of society must resist them through united efforts. The event concluded with a cultural ceremony.
