Dhaka: Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves have stood at US$26.79 billion, according to a press release of Bangladesh Bank here today. This figure reflects the current state of the nation’s forex reserves.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, as per the International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology under the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6), Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $21.43 billion. This discrepancy highlights the difference in calculation methods between Bangladesh Bank and the IMF.
