Food Allocation to be Increased for Flood Affected Areas: Food Adviser

Cumilla: Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumder announced today that the allocation of food would be increased for the flood affected areas of the region to address the food deficit. This statement was made during a discussion with journalists following a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and officials from the food department.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser also mentioned that efforts are underway to rectify water logging issues at the food godown in Dharmapur, Cumilla city, and a record room in the Kaliajuri area. The government has prioritized safeguarding the food department's buildings and the record room. Necessary instructions have been issued to the relevant departments to address these concerns.

The meeting was attended by DC Cumilla Amirul Kaiser and other officials who are involved with the food department.
