Dhaka: The first session of the 13th national parliament is anticipated to take place next month, with proceedings likely commencing on March 12, or potentially a day or two earlier. This information was disclosed by Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed through a post on his verified Facebook account.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed’s post indicated that the inaugural session would involve the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. Additionally, ordinances that were promulgated during the interim government’s tenure will be presented before the parliament. A condolence motion is also expected to be part of the session’s agenda.
