Chattogram: The first death anniversary of BNP Vice Chairman and former Minister, Freedom Fighter Abdullah Al Noman was observed with deep respect and solemnity today. On the occasion, various commemorative events were held to honor his memory and contributions to the nation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a Khatme Quran, Milad, and Doa Mahfil were organized by the family at Abdullah Al Noman’s village home in Gahira, Raozan. Special prayers were offered, seeking forgiveness for the deceased’s soul. Attendees remembered his political career, his role during the Liberation War, and his contributions to the development of Chattogram.
Sayeed Al Noman, MP, the son of Abdullah Al Noman, along with party leaders and activists, paid tribute by placing flowers at the grave of the deceased. He spoke about his father’s contributions to politics and the development of Chattogram, stating, “We aim to carry forward his legacy by upholding his values of integrity and patriotism.”
BNP leader Abu Sufian, MP, highlighted Abdullah Al Noman’s reputation as a great politician, respected for his political acumen and support for workers in times of need. This quality made him a beloved leader for the people of Chattala.
The event was attended by Central BNP Labor Affairs Secretary AM Nazim Uddin, MA Sabur, City BNP Joint Convener Syed Azam Uddin, local dignitaries, and family members, all of whom gathered to honor the memory of Abdullah Al Noman.
