He emphasized the multifaceted role of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, noting their crucial involvement in extinguishing fires and managing disasters, road accidents, river rescues, and other emergencies. Deputy Commissioner Baten praised the commitment and bravery of the fire service members who risk their own safety to protect others. He advised the public to remain vigilant, especially during the hot summer months, by regularly checking electrical connections, minimizing the use of electrical appliances, turning off gas stoves after use, and keeping children away from fire hazards.
