Dhaka: A fire that erupted at an Apex footwear showroom in the capital's Dhanmondi area on Thursday morning was successfully contained by noon. The swift response from local fire units prevented further escalation of the incident.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Fire Service received the alert about the blaze at approximately 10:05 am and promptly arrived at the scene by 10:15 am. Talha Bin Zashim, the station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence's media cell, provided these details.
Initially, four units from the Mohammadpur Fire Station were dispatched to tackle the fire. As the situation demanded more resources, two additional units were mobilized to assist in controlling the blaze.
By around 12:00 pm, the concerted efforts of the fire units led to the successful containment of the fire, ensuring no further damage to the surrounding areas.
