Mohammadpur: A fire that broke out in an apartment of a six-storey building located in the capital's Mohammadpur area was brought under control within minutes this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Media Officer Anwarul Islam of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) confirmed that the fire erupted in a flat housed on the sixth floor of the building at 36/A, Jahuri Mahalla in Mohammadpur at 03:40 pm today.
Two units managed to contain the blaze by 04:25 pm in the afternoon.
