A fire that broke out at a plastic factory early on Tuesday morning in the Posta Chawkbazar area of old Dhaka has been doused completely, officials said.
The fire started around 6.10am inside the factory.
“After an hour-long effort, seven firefighting units managed to douse the flames completely,” said Shahjahan Shikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
“Fortunately, no casualties were reported. A probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire,” he added.
