Baku: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has accepted an invitation from Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus to attend a youth festival in Bangladesh scheduled for January. Infantino's participation was confirmed during a meeting on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he and several global leaders met with Professor Yunus. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Yunus engaged with Infantino to discuss the upcoming festival and requested his assistance in bringing renowned women's football teams to Bangladesh. The meeting took place as part of Yunus's ongoing four-day official visit to Baku for the global climate summit. Professor Yunus arrived in Baku on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at approximately 5:15 pm local time on Monday. During his visit, he is expected to participate in various sessions of COP29 and speak at several side events.
