FF Nurul Alam Belal dies

DHAKA, Dec 16, 2016 (BSS) - Veteran freedom fighter (FF) journalist Md Nurul Alam Belal died of liver cancer at a city hospital this morning.

He was 67.

Belal, who was an associate member of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC), left behind mother, wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.

He served the Dainik Sangbad and now defunct Dainik Barta as a senior sub editor.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held at the JPC. President and secretary of the JPC Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, former state minister Diadar Bakht , senior journalists and relatives were present at the janaza.

Belal will be laid for the eternal rest at their family graveyard at his village Dhanikunda under Porshuram Upazila of Feni district after holding his second-namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayer.

In a message of condolence, the JPC president and secretary conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family inmates and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
