Paturia: Ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route were suspended today due to a nor’wester and heavy rain, sources at Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BIWTC Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager Abdus Salam stated that ferry movement on the route has remained suspended since 11:20 am as the nor’wester swept across the Padma and Jamuna river routes.
The sources also mentioned that all engine-driven boats, speedboats, and launches have remained suspended due to the inclement weather.
