Paturia: The ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route resumed this morning after being suspended for 10.40 hours due to dense fog. Deputy General Manager of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat, Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury, confirmed that all ferries began operating as the fog cleared by 11:40 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, measures have been implemented to prevent traffic congestion on both sides of the Padma River. Meanwhile, ferry operations on the Aricha-Kazirhat route returned to normal around 9:30 am after a suspension lasting 9.50 hours. Sources from Aricha Ghat indicated that BIWTC authorities had to halt services for the same reason shortly after midnight.
