Dhaka: Female students have surpassed their male counterparts in both pass rates and the number obtaining GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025, continuing the trend observed in the previous year. A total of 676,445 female students successfully passed the examinations, achieving a pass rate of 71.03 percent. In contrast, 626,981 male students passed, with a success rate of 65.88 percent, as per the SSC results released today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the previous year saw female students achieving an 84.47 percent pass rate compared to 81.57 percent for male students. Female students also led in the number of students obtaining GPA-5 last year. This year, among those achieving GPA-5, 73,616 are female students, while 65,416 are male students, highlighting the consistent performance of female students in these examinations.
