Dhaka: A delegation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States visited Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sazzad Ali for a courtesy call. The meeting was held at the DMP Headquarters and included discussions on enhancing mutual cooperation and relations between the two law enforcement bodies.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the delegation included FBI Assistant Legal Attaché Robert J. Cameron and Police Liaison Specialist Muhammad Aminul Islam from the Office of the Legal Attaché of the US Embassy. Senior officials from the DMP were also present to participate in the discussions.
The meeting focused on continued collaboration to improve the efficiency of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) officers. Both parties emphasized the importance of mutual assistance in combating crimes such as terrorism, cybercrime, and transnational crime. The discussions also included plans for future cooperation aimed at elevating professional standards and dev
eloping work plans to address these challenges.
