Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is expected to arrive home from Thailand tonight following medical treatment for his eyes. He underwent treatment at the Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok for several days and is now returning on medical advice.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a member of the BNP Chairperson’s media cell, Shyrul Kabir Khan, confirmed the news. “Mirza Fakhrul will leave Bangkok for Dhaka at 11 pm. The flight carrying him is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:20 am,” Khan stated.
Mirza Fakhrul traveled to Bangkok on May 13 due to eye and other physical complications. He was accompanied by his wife, Rahat Ara Begum, during his stay in Thailand.
