Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mojibur Rahman Howlader, former Joint Convener of the party’s Nesarabad Upazila unit under Pirojpur district. In a condolence message today, he stated that Mojibur Rahman Howlader was a staunch believer in the principles and ideals of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and the Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy. Howlader played a pivotal role in strengthening and energizing the Nesarabad Upazila Unit of the BNP.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul further stated that under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, Howlader’s courage in every movement and struggle to secure the democratic rights of the people will continue to inspire local BNP leaders and workers. The BNP Secretary General prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, relatives, well-wishers, and supporters.
Mojibur Rahman Howlader passed away yesterday following a cardiac arrest at the age of 67.
