Natore: A mobile court fined a factory Tk 50,000 today for producing unauthorized detergent products in Bagatipara upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bagatipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ha-Mim Tabassum Prabha, with assistance from the district administration and representatives of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), conducted the drive. The factory, Sheikh Chemical Company, was penalized for producing and marketing unauthorized dishwashing liquid, toilet soap, and toilet cleaner in fake packaging.
Md. Delwar Hossain, Field Officer of the BSTI Rajshahi Divisional Office, stated, “The penalty was imposed in accordance with the BSTI Act-2018.”
